Welcome to Northwest Hope & Recovery Center, PLLC.
Healing and recovery begins in an environment of support, validation, mutual respect, and earned trust. Whatever the reason(s) that brought you to this website, welcome.
Although Dr. Rogers has been licensed and has practiced as a Psychologist since 2007, Northwest Hope & Recovery Center was created in 2022. It is the first step of a vision to realize his dream of a holistic mental, physical, and spiritual practice.
Dr. Rogers' experience enables him to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. Dr. Rogers treats a number of mental health issues, and provides a safe healing practice to individuals.
Dr. Rogers' focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. This is achieved by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
Dr. Rogers promises to be there for you every step of your journey. His goal is to help you grow from your struggles, to find hope, to heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, Dr. Rogers is able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events.
Combat trauma is a specific type of trauma experienced by men and women who have served in military and law enforcement roles. While not all who experience combat develop Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, some do. Symptoms vary but often fall into three categories: Intrusive, avoidant, and hyper-arousal. Substance use/abuse may also be present.
Complex trauma refers to a series of traumatic events that take place over a long period of time. Complex trauma has a lot in common with with classic symptoms of PTSD (e.g., anxiety, flashbacks, avoidance, etc.); however, complex trauma can distort sense of self, make it difficult to control emotions, and cause a myriad of other symptoms, including somatic and interpersonal, spiritual problems, etc. [For an excellent read: Understanding Complex Trauma, Complex Reactions, and Treatment Approaches - Curtois]
Although Dr. Rogers is currently not providing marriage or couples counseling, relationship skill acquisition can be beneficial to individuals who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship(s).
General psychological assessments are undertaken for a variety of reasons. There are four major components of a psychological assessment: norm-referenced tests, interviews, observations, and informal assessments. General, or broad range, psychological assessments often assist with diagnostic clarity, assessing the nature and severity of symptoms, from which a hypothesis about a person and their behavior, personality and capabilities is made.
Brief Cognitive Assessments are designed to help measure mental functions, such as memory, language, and the ability to recognize objects. They can be used to identify intellectual disabilities, identify and diagnose learning disabilities and disorders, evaluate cognitive processing strengths and weaknesses, assess giftedness, and/or to assess the impact of brain injuries.
While there is no single test for ADHD, psychologists can use observations, school records, and collateral information to determine the extent to which symptoms may impact mood, behavior, productivity, and lifestyle habits. The ADHD assessment provides an opinion about symptom impact, as well as recommendations for impact reduction.
Special accommodation assessments and recommendations can be used to assist individuals with requesting certain rights (e.g., equipment, environment, or format). A special accommodation may be obtained for educational or vocational purposes.
The social security mental health disability report is a brief review of medical records, observations, and a structured interview. This report is typically provided to Social Security to support an application for disability related to a mental health condition, for which the applicant is claiming impairment in job functioning.

*Co-pays or co-insurance amounts are due at the time of each service. You are responsible for knowing whether or not your annual deductible has been met. If it has not been met, appointment fees are due in full at the time of the appointment; any paid fees will count toward your unmet deductible.
You may opt to pay cash for therapy or assessment services as well if Dr. Rogers is not credentialed with your specific healthcare plan.
Assessment services are often not covered by insurance providers. Psychologists put a lot of time into administering, scoring, interpreting, and providing written and verbal feedback; as such, assessments can be very expensive. Please feel free to contact your insurance provider, however, to inquire about testing as a covered service. Dr. Rogers knows how important these services are, and is willing to work with you to ensure that a mutually agreed up fee can be arranged. Generally a set fee is offered. A comprehensive assessment typically involves: Clinical interview, records review, in-session testing, test scoring and interpreting, report writing, and a feedback/closing session. You can expect a minimum of 8-10 hours to complete the process; however, the amount of time necessary to complete the assessment depends upon the type of assessment, the amount of material to review, etc.
**Fees are due at the time of initial assessment appointment, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Dr. Rogers can assist you with filing a claim with your insurance provider; however, he is not responsible for, nor can he guarantee fees not reimbursed to you.
Dr. Rogers is unable to carry an unpaid balance for services rendered. All unpaid fees are due at the next appointment, unless other arrangements have been made.
Please note: Missed appointments are not billed to your insurance provider. All missed appointments without a 24-hour notice, therefore, will be billed to you. Payment must be made prior to scheduling a follow-up appointment.
