Dr. Rogers has maintained a private practice in University Place, WA, since 2008. He specializes in treating individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, gender and GLBTQ issues. Dr. Rogers is welcoming of all individuals and provides a safe zone for those seeking support and healing.
A comprehensive set of interventions may be utilized in your work with Dr. Rogers. You and he will determine which modality and set of interventions are a good fit for your particular symptoms and goals. Intervention strategies used include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, and Humanistic Therapies.
Professionally, Dr. Rogers has spent a career working with a variety of individuals with varying clinical presentations. His broad clinical experience includes: Corrections, college counseling, community mental health, and psychiatric inpatient settings. He has experience working with children, families, individuals, and couples. An extensive history across settings and populations provides Dr. Rogers with a unique set of skills to assess and assist with treatment planning and recovery.
Personally, Dr. Rogers is a native of Virginia. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Virginia and his graduate degree in Washington. He holds a doctorate in psychology (PsyD). Dr. Rogers has lived in the Pacific Northwest for the past 19 years. Spending time with friends, spouse, and two little Chihuahuas are a passion when he is not working.
Dr. Rogers' office in University Place is located inside Plaza West (27th and Bridgeport). He maintains a quiet, private, and relaxed office space. It is important that all clients feel comfortable to the extent possible. Dr. Rogers will do his best to ensure that you have a professional and healing experience.
